To become the biggest and most scaled commercial finance brokerage in the UK and beyond.
In recent years, there has been a welcome boom in small businesses; but over 50% of them do not have access to business finance when they need it, which can result in failure before they have really begun. For small businesses, the issue is not a lack of willing sources of funding, but rather than founders and owners are ill-equipped to find and vet these sources without help.
FundOnion is setting out to solve this problem by instantly matching small businesses to funders. The company allows small businesses to compare finance sources across its database, and to choose who they want to contact. Although the platform is entirely digital, FundOnion provides customer service alongside its guides to how business finance works, working under the assumption that its clients are not experts in the field.
In 2022, the company partnered with Sharp Corporation through the Sharp Connect Partner programme, which has brought access to Sharp’s capabilities to FundOnions’s clients. It has since scaled its team and revenues significantly and achieved an impressive funding application milestone of £750 million, reaching thousands of UK businesses.
