Future finance offers non-governmental student loans across Europe, providing a straightforward structure with tailored credit assessments and flexible payment schedules. The idea is that this extends student financing to customers that traditional lenders might be hesitant to work with, and that students get some relief from pricey payments whilst studying.
UK student finance, the market in which Future Finance predominantly operates, has been a hot button topic ever since the tripling of fees in 2012, facing annual debates and an official review. Concerns are primarily focused on the barrier to entry this creates for students in less financially comfortable positions, and the mountains of debt many students are subsequently saddled with. So Future Finance is offering a solution of sorts to the problems created by the policy turnaround.
They are faring well with it too, receiving impressive investment and expanding their European office presence. With student loan interest rates rising, it could be that more students begin turning to private lenders. Moreover, with younger demographics becoming more comfortable with non-traditional financial services, they may do so enthusiastically.
