Our take

GSK Tech is set to build a suite of next-generation platforms for data- and prediction-driven drug discovery in support of GSK's Research and AI/ML organizations, and an industry-leading data engineering function in support of AI/ML and Genomic Sciences.

GSK’s ambitions go far past the data lake: they’re building a comprehensive data and machine learning ecosystem that can speak to the customers in their own scientific and technical language and semantics. Enabled by GSK Knowledge Graph, powered by machine learning, and underpinned by natural language processing, GSK's vision is for accessibility to data (and, importantly, the knowledge it represents). GSK wants to increase this tenfold, taking mere moments to find, access, and integrate the right information.

The creation of GSK Tech shows GSK's commitment to making a major investment in changing how we think about data in the research space, and levelling up the data experience for GSK's researchers, scientists, computational scientists, AI/ML Engineers, and ultimately decision-makers. As of 2024, GSK is putting more energy into its Cyber Security features, thus widening its market reach.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at GSK

  • We want GSK to be a diverse, inclusive organisation that attracts and retains outstanding talent because this brings greater opportunity to create better health outcomes for patients around the world who rely on our medicines and vaccines.
  • We’re working hard to become a more inclusive company in the way we do business, both through our clinical trials and the external companies we choose to work with. Internally, we want GSK to be a workplace where everyone can feel a sense of belonging and thrive.
  • We’ve made good progress – delivering new inclusion training on an annual basis including how to recognise and take action on discriminatory behaviours, launching a development programme for ethnically diverse employees, and reviewing our recruitment and selection processes.
  • We focus on four areas of diversity: ethnicity, disability, gender, and sexual orientation. Each has its own Council, where leaders, employees, and employee resource groups (ERGs) come together with the goal of creating inclusivity for all.
  • GSK is a company where everyone can be themselves, and where diversity is embraced and celebrated. We each hold ourselves accountable for ensuring that respect and inclusivity are at the very heart of our culture as a company.
