Founded by Matthew Lanham in 2012 Gecko ventures to better engage and excite in the higher education sector. It supplies its customers and businesses with the means to integrate and connect all of their current CRM and technology.
It goes without saying the education system doesn’t just rely on pen and paper submission anymore. There are hundreds of communication programmes, presentation or form filling softwares that help education institutions deliver the highest quality of processes. With the amount of options there are to use to deliver such things it’s no surprise that sometimes the tech could feel a bit disjointed. Gecko works with the likes of Durham University, California University of Pennsylvania, The University of Law to help iron out the kinks in the tech connections they’re using.
Competitors like Medelexis are in a similar field but Gecko sets itself aside by specialising in the education sector. One with high demand and the need to be efficient due to a yearly turnover of submissions and ongoing comms with their students. In 2020 it won 17 new universities in the UK and US, continuing with another stint of growth in 2021. There were talks of Gecko embarking on another round of funding to keep enhancing its product… time will tell, as this initiative is worth growing.
