To help people access better treatments, faster.
Medical data has been a hot topic in recent years, and tech companies are finding new solutions to help patients take control of their illnesses and prescriptions. GeneHub is a genome sequencing storage and permissions startup, which helps users gain control of their medical data for use in drug studies.
GeneHub operates on the principle that 99% of people have at least 1 gene that reacts to drugs, making its services almost universal in reach. The DNA data-sharing platform uses anonymised patient gene data to help doctors and researchers make safer drugs and accurate doses, in turn reducing the potential for adverse reactions. Patients give consent to researchers to use their data in anonymised drug studies.
GeneHub is still in its infancy, having reached seed funding stages in 2023. It aims to expand and is currently offering early access to select patients as it R&Ds its product.
