Information Management System (IMS) is a general term for software designed to facilitate the storage, organization and retrieval of information. An IMS combines all aspects of an organisation’s systems, processes and Standards into one smart system. This merger allows a business to streamline its management, save time and increase efficiency by addressing all elements of the management system as a whole.
Medical device manufacturers have long been the neglected cousins of pharma companies in terms of IT systems that specifically cater to their needs, yet their ways of operating are very different, and so are their needs of regulatory, quality, clinical and safety information management. This is where Generis come in.
Generis provide IMS's for medical device companies with their flagship life sciences platform, CARA. Generis has over 500,000 licensed users in nearly 50 companies in industries from pharmaceutical to government, media, finance, insurance, engineering and energy.

(CEO)James has been involved in document management/enterprise content management for Life Sciences companies and other regulated industries for over 15 years. He holds a MA in Music from Cambridge. He previously worked as a Document Management Analyst at GSK and as a Freelance Conductor for 8 years before founding Generis.
