Geneva is based on the conviction that being a part of groups and communities is central to humans' happiness, especially in an increasingly remote-first world. Its mission is to help people stay connected to maintain their mental health and wellbeing through a platform which gives communities all the tools they need to meet together and interact in one place. Users can livestream, chat, post & plan events, restoring some of the humanity to online interactions.

Geneva is a free-to-use social platform with which users can create private 'rooms' combining chat, post, audio, video, and broadcast features. The startup is gaining early traction, with live beta testing completed in Spring 2021 following a $12 Million Series A investment round in December 2020.
What is exciting is the platform's full event stack. Once polished, this will put Geneva on track to capitalize on the growing digital events industry. They are also considering e-commerce, which would be a crucial hook for content creators – and it's another lucrative and fast-developing industry.
However, it remains to be seen whether Geneva can persuade enough users away from more stable social platforms like Zoom, Slack, and Facebook. Whilst their fresh branding and casual social focus sets them apart as a trendy alternative to these giants, they will need to perfect and launch these tools to stay ahead.
