High-value assets yield the highest returns, but it's traditionally only been possible for the richest investors to reap these benefits. Aside from being unfair this furthers wealth inequality with all its negative economic and social effects. GetGround exists to change this, making it easier for more people to invest in wealth generating assets, starting with real estate.
GetGround takes first time investors through the end-to-end journey of finding, financing, and managing property investments, through their proprietary platform. As the first such product offering in this space it has already captured a sizeable share of the market it seeks to disrupt, with over 15,000 customers accounting for 10% of the UK buy-to-let sector.
GetGround has received funding from the UK government and high profile VC investors, and has £1 billion worth of assets on its platform. It plans to broaden out to other countries and asset classes in the future as it continues to lower the barriers to investing.

I joined GetGround because of the mission. The mission is at the core of everything we do and we constantly refer back to it. So many of the world's assets are inaccessible, unfairly distributed and far less productive than they could be. This is abstract but starting with UK buy-to-let property, we work obsessively to bring these assets online, bring transparency to their financials and then eventually help make them accessible for everyone to invest in.

Data is close to my heart and the culture in GetGround values data-informed decisions as much as I do. What I like most is how we challenge ourselves to find data to test theories, even when it's not easy or readily available to us. Everyone has access to run analysis and create dashboards in Looker; these are used super effectively to aid and inform decision-making.
