To make self-driving for everyone.
Initially, Ghost Autonomy set out to build an autonomous driving hardware kit, but has since shifted its focus by supplying its autonomous driving software to automakers.
Indeed, demand for robust autonomous driving technology is growing as more vehicles are built with autonomous driving capabilities. It stands out for taking a different approach to competitors, like Waymo or Cruise ride, that is cheaper and (hopefully) more financially viable. Given it's an inevitable aspect of the future, Ghost is ensuring its software delivers self-driving that is safe, equipped with universal crash prevention technology so it doesn’t require intervention from the driver.
It is actually this aspect of its product it's investing recent series D funding into, using capital to fund its R&D for developing its highway self-driving and crash prevention technology.
