Our take
French-based Gitbook is a modern documentation platform that offers teams an updated document standard for their work. The platform can be used to document a range of things, from code to APIs, to how to use a software product.
Boasting clients from companies at Adobe, AWS, unity and Discord, Gitbook has now hosted over 1.5M documents on its platform, reaching nearly 100M unique page views per month. For too long, technical teams’ only options were all-in-one editing tools like Google Docs, which was not designed for sharing or hosting technical knowledge.
Following investment from Fly Ventures, Gitbook continues to grow out its product, notably working on hosting new integrations to offer users a more suitable platform for their specific needs, ultimately enabling productivity in technical teams.
