Our take

Global Fashion Group (GFG) was founded through the consolidation of four established e-commerce regional platforms in emerging markets. The company now operates in locations across the globe and has crafted an in-class shopping experience for their customers.

Today, GFG operates in growth markets with some of the lowest fashion and e-commerce penetration worldwide. GFG offers numerous international and local brands to be delivered quickly and conveniently. In this way, they allow these brands the chance to enter the fashion e-commerce sector in these highly promising economies.

GFG will use its 2023 investment round in subsidiary Zalora to invest in the expansion of its marketplace across Southeast Asia. Global Fashion Group is also investing in technology and operations to streamline its e-commerce business, currently popular in emerging markets, on a global scale. With more than 1 billion consumers in these markets, their potential for growth is huge.
