Good Law Software's (GLS) mission is to make GLS a comprehensive one-stop solution for legal practitioners; including solicitors, immigration advisers, and direct access barristers, to make not only their lives easier but also their clients’.
Unlike other legal software in the market, GLS has its roots in law first and technology second. It was created by Atef Elmarakby, an experienced immigration lawyer. Uninspired by existing solutions in the market, they hired a team of developers to build a tool that would assimilate well with their workflow and improve their own operations, which it did for years. In essence, GLS was made by lawyers, for lawyers.
Digital adoption has been notoriously slow in the traditional legal industry. There could be a variety of reasons for this and these may include fear of change, risk management, culture of ‘billable hours’, or even simply legal practitioners not having enough time to look into it.
However, lawyers are incredibly apprehensive of time-consuming administrative tasks especially now that we live in a digital world where more admin effort is required to cope with regulations, privacy, and other digital platforms. GLS is designed to help lawyers with this and reduce their administrative time, increase efficiency, maximise productivity, eliminate error, impose compliance, produce useful statistics and make the client-lawyer relationship a less stressful one.
