Gradguide's mission is to bridge the gap from college to company for recent graduates.
Upon graduating from universities, students often seek jobs in fast-growing tech startups, but many are not prepared for this by their universities. Higher education courses often do not provide enough focus on upskilling their students to be suitable hires for careers in the industry, causing difficulties for both job seekers and companies looking to hire.
Gradguide connects students and graduates through its mentorship and recruitment platform, pairing users with mentors to provide them with the upskilling that they need to accelerate their careers. Recruitment takes place within the platform after the career acceleration process, with the company claiming that 65% of its users land jobs within six weeks of completing the program.
Whilst Gradguide faces competition from other tech startup recruitment platforms such as Otta and Linkedin, the company has uniquely approached recruitment by recognizing the bidirectional challenges caused by insufficient upskilling from higher education. By tackling this problem, the company bridges the gap between companies and talent, making the recruitment process more successful and quicker for both parties.
