Best-friends-turned-co-founders Sarah Welsh and Farah Kabir conceived HANX after having had enough with the stereotypically male-centric design and marketing of condoms, as well as the fact that many leading brands use chemicals that negatively impact the female body, creating issues such as yeast infections.
Offering products from condoms to lube, they are all designed to address sustainability whilst being more inclusive and less gendered. As part of its wider mission, the company uses its community on social channels to destigmatise conversations around sexual health.
With its products are available in stores including Sainsbury’s, Boots and Superdrug, HANX continues to grow out its in-demand offerings, which recently included an online contraceptive pill service that enables women to choose from over thirty pills to order online, without having to go through doctors or pharmacists, providing them with control and autonomy over their bodies.
