Hammoq's mission is to empower sellers with a suite of solutions specially designed for the resale e-commerce industry, because the 80 billion resalable items that hit landfills each year shouldn’t.
The second hand e-commerce market has been going through a massive surge over the last few years. That the likes of Thredup and Poshmark have gone public, and Depop was sold to Etsy for nearly $2 billion is a clear sign of how fashionable the circular economy is at the moment.
In a bid to allow small-medium resellers to scale up their operations, Hammoq offers an AI platform which automates online listings so customers sell more items more quickly. It’s a clever solution for a common pain point amongst merchants – the higher the volume of sales, the more administrative work is required.
The company has grown quickly since launching in 2020, attracting major backing from Sierra Ventures and Origin Ventures and rapidly increasing its headcount. Considering that by the end of the decade, the global fashion resale market is expected to be around three times the size it currently is, Hammoq will back itself to become a key name in the industry.
