Company mission

Solve happiness and the future of human fulfilment.

Our take

The importance of happiness, wellbeing and fulfilment in peoples' lives has arguably never been more apparent. It is no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic caused great upset amongst the population. People's average wellbeing dropped from a mean average score of 7.7/10 in 2018 to just over 7.2 in 2020, representing the most significant drop in over a decade. Although these scores have been improving since the pandemic has eased, recent years have really shown the importance of wellbeing in society, and there has been a considerable cultural shift towards promoting it in people's lives.

Helping to build this change is the Happiness Foundation. A multidisciplinary, collaborative research foundation, they focus primarily on the use of technology and artificial intelligence to promote happiness, well-being and fulfilment. With their key efforts focused around two sub-groups, the Happiness Think Tank and the Happiness Collective. The Happiness Foundation's key strategy is focused on using technology to bring about their end goal: a "Joy Economy".

Having already partnered and collaborated with the likes of Memesys, the Royal College of Art and the University of Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute, Happiness Collective's key focus going forward will be to expand its footprint in this sector, building more partnerships and expanding its reach.
