Hasty's mission is to help companies with unique data assets to add vision AI to their products and services in a reliable and scalable way.
Quality data labelling is at the heart of any well-functioning machine learning tool. The problem is, labelling thousands of data points in an accurate and unbiased way is costly, time-consuming, and isn’t necessarily foolproof. Hasty claims their various labelling ‘assistants’ can automate up to 90% of the process, and become more accurate and useful with use - forming much sought-after data flywheels.
Whilst the concept of automating the labelling process is nothing new, Hasty’s solution is sufficiently flexible and effective that it addresses a growing market gap. Smaller teams looking to develop their own AI/computer vision projects often lack the timescale and resources to carry out effective labelling. These are frequently valuable data science projects, which are both costly, and often get kicked into the long grass long before deployment. Hasty’s end-to-end platform should help accelerate these projects, and bring down the cost of transformative tech.
It’s working well, having won the customers including Nvidia, Intel, and BMW, suggesting that they are standing out from the automated labelling crowd. With the global computer vision market expected to top $40B by 2030, this relatively young company is making impressive and potentially tech-changing strides.
