Hatch's mission is to make the world shoppable.
An omni-channel sales approach, whilst always a popular one, has proven particularly crucial over recent years as many stores were forced to set up or magnify their digital presences. Hatch is responding nicely to this growing demand, and provides a simple, single-widget omni-channel Where to Buy solution for brands across social media, physical stores, websites, and a range of devices.
Dotter, Commerce Connector, and ChannelSight are just a few of the rival Where to Buy solution providers on the market, so competition is far from easy. However, Hatch were acquired in early 2022 by competitor PriceSpider, which should shield them from the worst of the fray - as will their roster of top-tier clients, which includes Samsung, Microsoft, Amazon, and Walmart.
It’s an interesting sector to be working in, with ecommerce habits changing rapidly, and many brands and service providers fighting aggressively to net the digitally-savvy generation Z as they enter the consumer market. This, however, also means developments will need to happen fast for a company to stay ahead, and it remains to be seen how agile Hatch are in this regard.
