Our take

Hazaar is an innovative marketplace emphasising sustainability. The platform allows university students to buy and sell pre-loved items directly on campus, eliminating the need for shipping and packaging. By promoting face-to-face exchanges, it makes it easier and cheaper for students to access necessary items like textbooks, clothes and household goods.

Going up against industry giants likes Depop and Vinted, Hazaar's integration of sustainability into everyday student activities is what makes it stand out. The platform's local focus ensures safer and more reliable transactions among students, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility for the environment.

Hazaar has already made significant strides, with a growing presence in multiple university cities and strong financial backing to support its expansion. Future plans include broadening its reach to all UK universities and eventually expanding into European markets, with the ultimate aim of making sustainable living accessible and convenient for students everywhere.
