To give people exceptional service at the price of standard coverage – if not less.
Claiming insurance isn’t a fun activity at the best of times, but Hedvig was built to make the experience easier. Founded in 2016, the company started out providing home insurance options but has branched out to providing car, pet, accident and student products as well.
Hedvig has set its sights on its expansion from the beginning, and has attracted a large amount of funding over several rounds to make this possible. It distinguishes itself from other insurance providers with an easy-to-use app which provides its clients with a streamlined service. This is a powerful draw among the younger demographic who are often put off by the byzantine paperwork of traditional providers, and has helped propel Hedvig to being the top-rated provider in Sweden.
This innovation also extends to the company's marketing. Hedvig went viral in 2023’s Fashion Week for its sponsorship of a garment collection stained in red wine. The campaign's message of "live life to its fullest, without worries or regrets" is an unusual statement from an insurance company, but it is one that reflects a great deal of confidence in its product.
