Our take
Generative AI has taken the world by storm, allowing the rapid production of media that would usually be inaccessible to many. HeyGen leverages gen-AI to enable its users to produce studio-quality videos quickly and at scale using AI avatars and voices.
What makes the platform interesting is how simple the videos are to make. Users need only select an avatar and voice (or record their own) to get started, and there is a wide range of templates available if they don't want to start from scratch.
Though many people still have their qualms about AI-generated content, there's no denying that the market is on the up. Though we've yet to see how HeyGen's offering is truly received, the company has raised an impressive amount of funding to accelerate its product roadmap as it doubles down on security, AI ethics, safety and trust.
