Our take

Homesearch is a data and prospecting platform for the property industry that helps estate agents to generate landlord leads and secure more homes to market. Their repository contains data on 29.9 million residential addresses, enabling agents to identify and target homes that are both on- and off-market.

A key edge is that 60% of their property data is proprietary – meaning they hold data for 16m more homes than competitors. This has helped them secure a meaningful proportion of the market: established market leaders such as Knight Frank, Hamptons, Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward use Homesearch, as well as more than a thousand independent agents.

The business raised a £5m Series A round in early 2022 from Octopus Ventures, the venture capitalist firm that originally backed Zoopla, and is now in the process of expanding its team, improving the data it makes available to agents and expanding its product base.

Over 15 years' experience across property, data, luxury and publishing. Founded Address Intelligence, a consultative data profiling service, and served as Head of Innovation before starting Homesearch in 2019.
