To bring yoga to more people and places than ever before.
UK yoga enthusiasts may well be already aware of Hotpod Yoga. It’s a company that has spent the last decade expanding its franchise of Vinyasa flow heated yoga studios across the country. The twist is, these studios are inflatable, climate-controlled pods with adjustable lighting and interior scent. Now, Hotpod Yoga is venturing into new territory, with its new single-occupancy pod and accompanying app that customers can use to access the same experience from home.
This new direction follows the Peloton model, but Hotpod Yoga unlikely to face the same hurdles that’s left the latter company in difficulties. For one, the smaller pod has been tried-and-tested already at the company’s London studios, meaning it’s already a polished product. Additionally, Hotpod Yoga won’t face the same pandemic-era scaling demand that left Peloton in hot water.
Perhaps most importantly, Hotpod Yoga has an extensive UK-wide customer base which will help the company up-sell this new experience. Whilst it’s tough to gauge how large the appetite will be for potentially pricey at-home yoga pods, Hotpod Yoga is certainly in a strong position to be experimenting.
