To build innovative technology that feels familiar, natural, and human.
56% employee growth in 12 months
Technological innovation is growing exponentially, but products resulting from this often feel unnatural and inhuman. Whilst young people are often enthusiastic about such changes, older audiences can be left feeling alienated and confused. Humane designs futuristic hardware and software services that are geared toward feeling natural to the human experience, aiming to innovate on current technology whilst keeping things familiar and, well, humane.
Led by ex-Apple technology executives, its current product focus lies in a next-generation handheld smart device, the AI pin, a multi-modal wearable. It has filed patents for a wearable multimedia device with a laser projection system, and a fertility and hormonal cycle tracker.
Humane won the support of financial backers, raising a large amount of capital and has made partnerships with major players Microsoft and OpenAI. Poor reviews of its first product and a potential safety hazard culminated in its move to seek buyers for the company in 2024. The future of Humane is unclear, but with the significant backing behind it, it will no doubt attempt to find its feet again.
