Our take

Patent research is essential for anyone working with intellectual property or R&D, but the tools available for digging into the vast mountain of patent information have until now been limited to little more than keyword searches. IPRally exists to take the difficulty out of research with an AI-powered platform that reduces the technical expertise needed to analyse patent information.

IPRally competes with major players in the IP management market, including the likes of Clarivate and Questel. However the use of AI in this context is likely to disrupt the industry, and IPRally's search is able to build a human-like understanding not just of keywords in a patent, but on the overall concept of a patent. It also provides a clear audit trail of how it arrived at a conclusion, allowing users to dig into connected patents.

Having rapidly built a customer base including enterprises such as Nvidia, Bentley and Siemens Energy, IPRally has continued its run of success by closing a Series A funding round. This investment is being used to develop the product, with the aim being to move beyond patent search and categorisation and to create an all-in-one patent insights platform for business.
