Our take
AI-powered symptom checkers have undergone something of a renaissance over the past decade. Infermedica, an AI-powered medical guidance platform, offers solutions for symptom analysis and patient triage that helps insurers, telemedicine companies and health systems increase efficiency through fast, digital symptom-checks.
The platform is designed to support all processes from symptom onset to resolution, encompassing pre-visit, visit and post-visit tools. Capabilities include triage recommendation for patients, health summaries and automated notes, and treatment plan follow-ups and check-ups. It has also recently introduced an expansion of its API to include Intake functionalities.
With a number of clients in the healthcare space - including Gothaer, Cigna, and Optum - Infermedica now spans 30 countries and has completed more than 10 million patient interviews. It is well-funded, investing its 2022 Series B into expanding its Medical Guidance Platform and adding new modules to cover the full primary care journey.
