To connect people and organisations around the globe to a better future through our world-leading satellite communications services.
World-leading satellite telecommunications company Inmarsat delivers reliable mobile communications across the globe. Whether it be by land, sea, or air, the company is enabling a new generation of commercial, government, enterprise, and mission-critical services – including furthering the digitization of the maritime industry and pioneering a new era of inflight passenger services.
The company is responsible for the first and only mobile high-speed broadband network, Global Xpress, and the European Aviation Network. Inmarsat is also helping revitalize the UK’s space-based capabilities, following its loss of access following Brexit in 2016.
The company has powered the rapid expansion of the global Internet of Things, and, looking forward, is set to dive even deeper into (IoT), to further connect people and machines in even the most remote locations. Ahead of the launch of a further seven satellites to bolster its ground network in 2024, Inmarsat completed a merger with U.S. satellite giant Viasat for £5.4 billion.
