Company mission

To promote innovation, creativity, and inclusion by advancing open payment standards and technologies that seamlessly connect our global society.

Our take

In a bid to create broader global financial inclusion, Interledger Foundation is a non-profit advocate for the web, advancing open protocol payment systems that permit frictionless payments and micropayments across currencies and ledgers.

The foundation is also the home of the Grant for the Web program, funding individuals, projects, and global communities contributing to an open and accessible web monetization ecosystem – such as awarding Bowie State University a $25,000 grant in late 2022 to partner on an undergraduate course that will enable students to learn about open payment technologies and issues in eCommerce and personal finance.

The Interledger Foundation has been focused on developing better technological standards and business models for inclusive financial networks. With the progress it has made since being founded in 2018, the foundation is sure to see growth as it further advances its protocol system.
