Jolt's mission is to help great people break into tech and transform its students' careers.
The predominant opportunity for professionals to develop their career outside of work, an MBA, requires a major investment of time and money. Whilst online education is accessible and affordable, it doesn't deliver the quality of outcomes that most professionals want. Jolt aims to bring the best of both offline and online solutions, with an additional aim to provide career skills that are relevant for today's economy, by providing training courses for high-tech companies as alternatives to higher education and MBAs.
Students only accumulate (and pay for) the classes they need to build their own diploma, and if they don’t want to complete the full program, they don’t have to. Operating on a monthly rolling basis, courses can be “paused,” too, so as to make them manageable, both financially and in terms of time management.
In 2022, the company was in the final throes of being acquired by an American company before the deal fell through and they underwent an organizational restructuring. Jolt is now focusing on the Israel market in order to achieve profitability and financial independence.
