Our take

Support when starting a family is a major benefit that talent has come to expect when looking for the next step in their career. Employees have begun to recognise this and the number of postings offering enhanced parental leave for new parents has more than doubled year on year. However, this is beyond the financial means of SMEs who make up the majority of employers in the UK. JustParent offers a solution in a SaaS platform offering insurance-backed parental leave for their clients' employees.

While there are a number of SaaS startups focusing on employee benefits such as Fringe, Compt, Cherry and Origin, none have a direct focus on parental leave. Additionally as their platforms are not insurance based, this still leaves SMEs unable to afford the more expensive benefits. With a knock-on effect on workplace gender equality, employee wellbeing and overall retention for the majority of the workforce, there is a significant gap in the market that JustParent is well-positioned to fill.

JustParent is preparing to launch, offering access to its platform for early adopters. It is looking to onboard new talent to develop the product and expand its marketing reach. With a socially-aware solution to a major problem and an experienced and growing team, JustParent is well-poised to develop a significant business.
