Kharon is majority founded by the team behind strategic consultancy firm The Camstoll Group, many of them ex-US Treasury officials with deep US policy insights and expertise in areas like intelligence and sanctions. This has helped Kharon build out a service with broad-reaching complexity and depth that caters to a wide range of clients, including the US Department of Defence, BAE Systems, Barclays, Nike, Microsoft, and the Agricultural Bank of China.
This breadth of clientele, combined with deep experience and granular analytics, makes Kharon a relatively unrivalled risk intelligence provider. With globalization continuing apace, and organizations facing increasing threats across areas like cybersecurity and crypto, this kind of service is only going to grow in importance.

Matthew Epstein
(CEO)Previously a Financial Attache at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, who moved into a MENA MD role at ICE Canyon. Is also CEO of The Camstoll Group.
Howard Mendelsohn
(Chief Client Officer)Served a decade in the US Department of the Treasury as, variously, Acting Assistant Secretary, Deputy Assistant Secretary, and Sanctions Officer. Subsequently took up an SVP role at PNC Financial Services Group, and is also MD of The Camstoll Group.
Mark Nakhla
(EVP)Served as a Security Cooperation Advisor for the US Marine Corps, then moved into an Associate position at Booz Allen Hamilton, and following that spent two years as a Sanctions Analyst at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Is also Director of The Camstoll Group.
Benjamin Schmidt
(CPO)Previously served as an intelligence professional at the US Treasury Department of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, and also an MD at The Camstoll Group.
