Our take

Kinly is on a mission to support older people in accessing the benefits they are entitled to, such as the underutilised Attendance Allowance. Many benefits available to older people are overlooked by those eligible due to complex application processes.

The company approaches this issue by supplying specialist support via a single phone call that helps the company understand what benefits the client might be eligible for. Kinly then offers the client a range of products and services and handles the entire application process, only charging the client if their application is successful.

With an estimated 3.4 million eligible people not claiming the Attendance Allowance alone, Kinly has a huge potential pool of customers across the benefits spectrum. If it can get the word out, then its nothing-to-lose proposition and empathetic client-first approach could prove very lucrative, making it one to watch as it further develops.

Arthur Wakeley

Previously Managing Director at Celadon Pharmaceuticals, Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co., and an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard.

Hands-on CTO with strong product and engineering experience. Founded & built own software development agency and SaaS start-up (Roseta.io), both successfully acquired.
