To protect every online community and public conversation from disinformation campaigns and harmful content.
Kinzen’s media tech solutions allow publications, social media channels and other content platforms to better combat disinformation by analysing written, audio and video content. Founded by a pair of former journalists who rose to senior roles with Twitter and Facebook respectively, the company was initially intended to act as a subscription news outlet, but quickly pivoted to its current model in the face of what they saw as crisis in the industry.
The rise of disinformation across content platforms in recent years has led to the need for a much better solution in a global media market worth over $2 trillion. Kinzen’s hybrid offering of AI and human judgement is a clever one, which in theory allows them to be much more accurate in what they deem harmful.
Despite being an early stage startup, Kinzen already has a few major media companies among their customer base, and has also worked closely with the Irish Department of Health.
After receiving funding led by Danish accelerator FST Growth, the next challenge for the startup will be to expand its client base and workforce, while still maintaining high standards at scale.
