In recent years there has been an explosion of new social media platforms, such as BeReal, which cater to users' specific needs and interests. WishRoll is one of the latest to enter the market.
This Y Combinator-backed startup has developed Kiwi, a social networking app for music lovers. It is taking advantage of the growing number of users looking to move away from incumbent social media giants such as Instagram and Twitter. It offers an inventive way of meeting likeminded music lovers. This specificity has set it apart from much of its competition.
Social media is a notoriously hard market to crack, and it can be hard for emerging apps to make an impact. Kiwi's simple and attractive proposition, however, has proven to be a critical advantage.
