Kontor was founded to provide the bespoke real estate services to London’s burgeoning 2010s tech scene required. The founders’ close relationship with WeWork, at the time on an infamous spending spree, was a catalyst for its early success. Since then, the company has established a reputation for understanding the unique needs of creative, tech startups and counts over 600 scale-ups and unicorns as clients.
The agency is now doubling down on geographic expansion. By aligning Kontor’s own presence to the geographies its scale-up clients are expanding into, it can retain these relationships and grow revenue alongside its clients.
In the long term, Kontor will need to continue to evolve to provide a more complete, easy-to-use and innovative offering if it wants to fulfil its ambitions of competing with the major international agencies that have so far underserved Kontor’s current customer base.
