Kvatt's mission is to make reusable packaging accessible to everyone.
Packaging, especially with the rise of ecommerce, accounts for a ballooning proportion of consumer and corporate waste every year. In the UK, plastic packaging alone creates over 2 Million metric tonnes of it annually. Kvatt is a company looking to combat this, with their specially designed reusable packaging for consumer electronics and artwork.
The company has had a modest but strong start over recent years. Whilst they have around 10+ business customers, their phone delivery clients have seen 87% of packaging returned for re-use, this number rises to 100% for art packaging.
Various other approaches are being taken to tackle the packaging waste issue, from compostable packaging by Shellworks and Traceless, to Caulibox’s returnable lunchbox scheme but they’re by no means competitors. In fact, it suggests that momentum is growing for waste-reduction initiatives, and with Kvatt’s focus on affordable solutions, the company is positioning itself as a response that’s friendly to both businesses and the planet.
