Our take

In 2001, Lebara was founded to offer affordable international calling options for the migrant community. Since then, the company has expanded and evolved into a significant value challenger within the wider telecoms category. It's now seen as one of the fastest-growing mobile companies, with millions of customers.

Running on the Vodafone network ensures that Lebara customers have the same coverage reliability as one of the larger networks. What is setting them apart is their commitment to keeping prices fixed. This is unique, with big competitor networks increasing prices by upto 17% recently.

Since 2019, the company has been owned by private equity partners Triton and Alchemy. It now operates in five European markets, with license agreements in a further four global markets.
