LetsBab is set out to provide the younger generation with a dedicated app for discovering, sharing, and buying products – A digital recreation of the days when the younger generation would meet up at a shopping mall to hang out and shop.
LetsBab is a personal shopping app that mimics the word-of-mouth shopping experience. Marketing itself as a "digital mall", LetsBab combines online shopping with a strong social media element.
LetsBab's CEO, Bonnie Takhar, saw that as influencer marketing was beginning to wane, the solution was to democratize the sector. LetsBab's mission is to reward "influence" on a peer-to-peer level: users get paid for sharing brands with their friends. Their clients range from high-street names to high-end brands, including Glossier, Hugo Boss and H&M. The platform can also be used by sales associates, still allowing them to claim commission on items.
LetsBab has built a proven means of digitising profitable word-of-mouth, and has attracted an ever-growing user base and client roster. They have also enjoyed widespread positive exposure and overfunded on their last crowdfunding initiative.
