Our take

The dental insurance industry is often confusing, slow and expensive. Insurance plans restrict locations where claims are valid, and this can prevent people from getting the dental work that they need. Level aims to resolve these challenges by redesigning insurance systems from the ground up.

By designing flexible networks and systems that support real-time claims, the startup plans on abolishing laborious claim processes. Level has the ability to process claims in four hours, compared to 30-60 days for traditional players. Furthermore, the company aims to provide their insurance plans as workplace benefits through collaborating with employers.

The company has more than 10,000 members to date. Whilst Level currently focuses on dental and vision care insurance, the company has begun to use funding to branch out to other areas of health, whilst also expanding te reach of its existing products.
