To provide a sustainable delivery experience, that is as a key differentiator for online retailers.
As the demand for home delivery increases, last-mile emissions – those produced by the last leg in shipping – are rapidly increasing, and environmentally conscious consumers seek businesses that can provide greener shipping. Liefergrün, founded in 2020 and operating across Germany, uses a fleet of cargo bikes and electric vehicles to facilitate emission-free last-mile delivery, and allow companies and consumers to reduce their environmental impact.
Unlike other environmentally friendly delivery solutions, Liefergrün is not working to reduce their clients’ last-mile emissions, but rather to eliminate them. By using its bikes and e-vehicles, that are stored across regional hubs, the company can also offer emission-free last-mile logistics in a way which does not reduce the speed of delivery.
With big-name clients including Adidas and Dyson, and a partnership with Mercedes Van Rental, it is clear that the company and its mission has been well-received. Funds raised by Liefergrün are cited to go towards expanding its platform and delivery network, improving the product, and growing its teams.
