Battery manufacturing intelligence
Jump to section
To accelerate the clean energy transition by decreasing the cost of battery manufacturing.
50% employee growth in 12 months
The electric vehicle revolution has begun, but its advancement is held up by difficulties in battery manufacturing - with current practices remaining costly and complicated. Liminal delivers intelligent insights into the battery manufacturing process, so that systems and steps can be optimized for more efficient production in the future.
Liminal, founded in 2015, combines ultrasound technology and machine learning to deliver these advanced manufacturing insights. The company's aim is to improve battery performance and safety, as well as decrease lifecycle costs, so that they become more useable. In turn, this will make EVs accessible to more drivers, and fuel the further adoption of low-emission vehicles.
As public support for EVs increases, and more players in the auto space seek better batteries, Liminal can expect to see similar increases in the demand for its tech. The company has raised impressive funding that is cited to help scale its "EchoStat" inspection systems to factory grade, in preparation for this increased demand for safe, reliable, and more affordable EV batteries.
