To build high-tech performer centric stages for Livestream performances.
Live Bash is looking to put together a collection of professional-grade, fully serviced sound stages that can be booked by artists for the purpose of live streams - the first in Chicago. The point is to offer top-tier but low-cost facilities to artists who’d otherwise struggle to access this kind of resource, thereby helping hard-hit creators monetize again following the recent closure of gig venues.
Live Bash also offers artists the ability to turn segments of their performance into NFTs. This might seem buzzy, but it’s in fact another instance of offering access to real monetization opportunities: blockchain music releases are proving hugely lucrative for some artists, and certainly preferable to what are often exploitative relationships with streaming platforms. Live Bash is just helping interested artists get over the first hurdle of how to get there.
How much uptake Live Bash receives will no doubt become a question of cost - and as of yet, this is still being worked out. Similarly, the NFT aspect is still being worked through on a private blockchain prior to launching on one that’s Ethereum-compatible.
