It's traditionally been extremely time consuming for brands to localize their sites to enable them to grow internationally, which is why Localised's platform serves a crucial niche. Localised builds and deploys websites that enable brands to sell beyond their home markets and expand globally.
It currently works with leading brands such as Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, helping them to explore new markets (such as Asian countries) through highly localised, country-specific ecommerce. Localisation has benefitted from its clear USP to localise international e-commerce as well as low competition in the market.
Investment from BGF, the most active investor in growth businesses in the UK and Ireland, has helped the company develop its platform further. A key challenge the company will face will be its efficiency of language translation to enhance its localisation capabilities. This element is currently outsourced to third parties and Localisation plans to incorporate machine translation in the future.
