Our take

Insurance is one of the single biggest industries in the world, yet it consistently ranks as one of the least trusted and least recommendable. Locket aims to change that through encouraging customers to engage in preventative maintenance tasks to protect their homes.

Locket brings long overdue modernisation to the insurance industry by taking advantage of connected gear to deliver more value. Rather than relying on compensation after an event, Locket helps customers to actively protect their home using smart technology. Whilst connected gear is not a new idea, Locket has successfully enticed customers to buy smart technology through a discount on their policy and member only discounts on the technology itself.

Moreover, Locket sets itself apart through its use of machine learning which will be used to settle claims in seconds and automate simple tasks. This creates a customer experience that is closer to modern on-demand services than a traditional paper-bound insurer.
