To revolutionise the way female assigned teens experience adolescence.
100% female employees
In the UK, research has shown that teens identifying as women are twice as likely to suffer mental health problems by the age of 18. This trend has worryingly only gotten worse while misinformation about the challenges of puberty has become more widespread on social media.
Luna is trying to change the way that puberty is taught, talked about and experienced by female-assigned teenagers. By focusing on fun, engaging and factually accurate content, it hopes to attract a significant user base and change their lives for the better.
The company is hoping to launch its app in 2022 and is currently focusing on building out its portfolio of content alongside adolescent health experts. After launching the product, it will be interesting to see how Luna goes about fostering their community while driving revenue. Its users may be young, but they are a generation that will be wise to any sense of inauthentic product promotion.
