Our take

Lyte partners with events, venues and ticket selling platforms to bridge the divide between ticket buyers and the acts, teams or events themselves.

While there are a plethora of online ticket sellers like Ticket Spice and Tix Track jostling for a place in a busy market, Lyte offers some unique features such as a waiting list feature. It allows fans to ‘reserve’ a spot on an event waiting list, with their information preloaded. Not only does this benefit fans but circumvents ticket scrapers and bots who buy up huge swathes of and then try to sell them on at extortionate prices, often resulting in fans not being able to attend events and seats remaining empty.

The company's approach to solving the pain points of acts, venues and ticket buyers has led to funding that has enabled it to acquire both Festicket and Event Genius. Lyte has managed to create a good reputation among both promoters and fans, which has been boosted by its partnerships with Coachella, Eventbrite and Electric Forest.
