To re-define motorcycling as the future of urban travel, leading the charge with electric vehicles that are beautiful, practical, and sustainable.
Electric motorcycle sales are on the rise as urban commuters increasingly looking for ways to get around that are less polluting and difficult to store than a car and way more convenient than public transport. However, the styling and quality of these vehicles are not to everyone's taste - Maeving is looking to change that. Its flagship product, the RM1 motorcycle, is an electric bike with capabilities equivalent to a 125cc conventional motorcycle and a range of about 80 miles.
While it has generated excellent reviews, the British market for electric cycles is fiercely competitive with the likes of Super Soco, Energica and Zero also providing well-regarded offerings. However, Maeving may have an edge in its styling, eschewing the futuristic or pared-back look of many of its competitors in favour of a more traditional design. It also stands out by sourcing locally, with a higher proportion of the RM1's parts being made in the UK than its competitors, ensuring a British standard of quality.
Maeving has recently secured funding that it plans to use to recruit engineering and marketing talent, expand its product line and reach new customers.
