Our take

In the US, thousands of women experience complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. Such difficulties are seen on an even larger scale in mothers in disproportionately affected communities. Healthcare infrastructure is missing vital technology that would allow medical professionals to collaborate, leading to a more effective provision of maternal healthcare, reducing complications and mortality rates.

Mahmee aims to tackle this issue through use of software that allows pregnant and new mothers to efficiently plan and organise a personal team of healthcare professionals. The software covers appointment booking, private messaging with professionals, and regular content to provide advice about pregnancy and motherhood. This all sits within a comprehensive, centralised system that aims to close existing gaps in the maternal healthcare industry.

Founded my mother and daughter Linda and Melissa, the family feel of the company is felt even through their investors - 40% of their initial investor group were once patients of Mahmee, highlighting how important and effective the service they provide can be.
