To be the industry-standard way to share information and work together on projects at every step of the way, from sketches to move-in.
Interior design, home building, and planning require various layers of organization and communication between teams, and the worst thing that can happen is miscommunication. With spreadsheets, email threads, and texts to keep track of, Materio’s app-based platform is a tool for all sides of the project management cycle, from interior designers, home builders, investors, and all the way to clients. It helps calculate cost and time estimations, order changes, labor reporting, and many other actions within the sector.
Whilst these actions all require logging and recording, Materio surpasses its workflow automation capabilities by creating a platform designed for all sides of the project planning cycle to communicate on. Whilst larger platforms like Slack and Notion provide a one size fits all work platform, Materio’s honing in on a specific industry could be its USP - although, it could also be its downfall in the event of a drought of house building and retail investment projects.
In the US, the end of 2022 saw a three-month-long decrease in construction projects, and with uncertainty surrounding housing prices and unemployment, Materio’s app may take a little longer to grow its customer base. Nevertheless, the intuitive and practical platform will attract customers, even if it has to wait for an industry boost.
