To make access to physical goods frictionless and universal.
-25% employee growth in 12 months
Matternet is helping to revolutionise access to goods across the globe, by helping organisations to operate drone logistics networks. The delivery systems it supports can save companies time, money and energy - and so far, its products remain unrivalled in the space.
Part of Matternet's sustained growth has been thanks to it specialising in drones for smart drug delivery. It has a strong reputation in this sector, partnering with healthcare services and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
While drone regulations in the US originally stunted scaling, the company received FAA approval in late 2022. This enabled it to build on the success it has earned abroad, where market regulations are more amenable to large-scale drone networks.
Matternet has continued to build momentum and improve its autonomous flight capabilities to the point it can compete with traditional methods on cost. Off a fresh $33 million fundraise, the company became the first business focussed on drone delivery to go public, which is testament to its position as both a leader and innovator in the space.
